Sophie Babcock

Sophie Babcock is from San Jose, California. She primarily trained at South Bay Dance, now training as a BFA student at the University of California, Irvine’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts. Notable mentors include Kit Ashleigh Dean, Anton Pankevich, Jason Coosner, Tong Wang, Diane Diefenderfer, and Vitor Luiz. Sophie has performed in UCI department dance showcases including Dance Visions, New Slate, and Bare Bones Dance Theater. Sophie has also performed with South Bay Ballet Arts as the Sugarplum Fairy and Clara, in The Nutcracker and the Swan Lake Pas de Trois. She has attended ballet intensives with Nashville Ballet, Complexions, Joffrey Ballet Chicago, and Ballet Austin. She is currently a member of NCBT, and was previously a member of South Bay Ballet Arts. She was also a Youth American Grande Prix finalist. Sophie enjoys the beach, spending time with friends and family, shopping, and Disneyland! Sophie is passionate about the art of ballet and plans to continue her professional dance career after graduation.
