Donor Benefits Terms & Conditions

Tax Status

New Classics Ballet Theatre is in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status with the IRS. At this time, contributions are not tax-deductible.

Donors will receive an acknowledgment letter or email for their records.

If a donor receives a tangible benefit (e.g., a drink voucher), we will disclose the estimated fair market value (FMV) in the receipt for transparency.

Donation Recognition & Benefits Structure

New Classics Ballet Theatre (NCBT) is proud to recognize and thank donors according to their support tier, which is determined by their total contribution amount per production cycle or season.

  • Donor benefits are a gesture of appreciation and are not equivalent to goods or services of monetary value.

  • Recognition (e.g., printed programs, shout-outs) and access perks (e.g., rehearsal invites, seating) are assigned based on donation level and timing.

  • Donations and associated benefits are non-refundable and non-transferable between individuals.

Production & Season Definitions

  • A production refers to one complete performance project (e.g., Christmas Ballet, Spring Story Ballet, Summer Contemporary Showcase). NCBT typically produces three productions per year.

  • A season refers to the full year’s performance calendar (September - June).

Donation Assignment Policy

To ensure transparency and fairness, your donation will be applied to the next upcoming production based on when it is received:

  • Donations received before or during rehearsals for a show will be tied to that upcoming production.

  • Donations received during show weeks or after a production closes will be applied to the next production.

  • This timing determines which production your donation applies to, and the benefits and recognition tied to that specific show.

Benefit Eligibility Timeline

Tiers Below Spotlight (Donations under $1,000)

  • All donor benefits, including recognition in programs, drink vouchers, merchandise discounts, invitations, and seating perks, are valid only for the production to which the donation is assigned.

  • Benefits do not carry over into future productions unless specified.

Spotlight Tier and Above (Donations of $1,000+)

  • Donors at the Spotlight Tier and above receive extended benefits valid for the entire current season.

  • This includes:

    • Drink vouchers

    • Merchandise discounts

    • Priority seating (when available)

  • All other perks, such as rehearsal invitations, program recognition, or spoken acknowledgments, remain tied to the specific production that the donation supports.

Note: Donations made mid-season do not extend into the next season. Extended benefits are active from the date of donation through the end of the current season only.

Benefit Details & Limitations

To keep donor recognition manageable and meaningful:

  • Drink vouchers and merch discounts apply only to the donor's ticketed performances and may require pre-registration or code redemption. They are not redeemable for cash.

  • Rehearsal access, cocktail events, and studio tours require advance RSVP and are limited by space.

  • Priority seating is offered when available and may be limited based on venue capacity and ticket release dates.

  • Social media shout-outs will be scheduled and crafted at NCBT’s discretion. We may request a preferred name or handle for tagging.

  • Spoken curtain recognitions are reserved for top-tier supporters and are subject to approval and time constraints. These may be grouped with other acknowledgments.

Revisions & Adjustments

NCBT reserves the right to revise, substitute, or retire donor benefits at any time due to changes in operations, venue partnerships, or unforeseen production needs. In case of cancellation or rescheduling, equivalent or alternate benefits may be offered.
